Second book in the Maple Hills series. The story centers on two students from Maple Hills university, Russ Callaghan and Aurora Roberts. After meeting at an end-of-year party, Russ and Aurora have a passionate one-night stand, but Aurora leaves the next morning before they can even exchange full names. Both characters separately decide to work as counselors at Honey Acres summer camp to escape their difficult family situations. They are shocked to find themselves working together, especially since the camp has a strict “no staff fraternizing” rule. The novel explores personal growth and healing from family trauma. Russ is dealing with his father’s gambling addiction, while Aurora struggles with a need for attention stemming from her home life.
