The Tenant

The story centers on Blake Porter, a marketing VP who suddenly loses his job and, in a desperate attempt to pay his mortgage, rents out a room in his brownstone to a charming woman named Whitney (sometimes referred to as Krista in discussions). Almost immediately, strange things begin to happen: the neighbors’ attitudes change, a smell of decay permeates the house, and it seems someone is playing mind games. Blake begins to fear his tenant knows his “darkest secrets” and that he may be trapped in a dangerous situation. The narrative is packed with multiple perspectives and shocking revelations, culminating in a jaw-dropping ending that challenges perceptions of who the victim and villain truly are.
