The Simple Wild

The story follows Callahan “Callie” Anson, a 26-year-old city girl living a comfortable, fast-paced life in Toronto.  When Callie learns her father has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, she impulsively decides to fly to remote Alaska to reconcile with him and spend the little time they have left together. Life in the Alaskan wilderness is a brutal culture shock for the high-maintenance Callie. She clashes immediately with the harsh environment and Jonah, the handsome but grumpy bush pilot and Wren’s surrogate son and protégé. Forced proximity, due to the remote location, leads to an undeniable attraction between Callie and Jonah. As she navigates the difficult process of mending her relationship with her father, she also discovers a resilient side of herself she never knew she had and finds herself falling in love with both the Alaskan wilderness and the grumpy pilot.
