The Fates divide

The sequel picks up shortly after the first book, with the balance of power on the planet Thuvhe (or Uih as the Shotet call it) completely fractured. The “Fates”—the prophecies given to certain individuals—become the central conflict:  Akos’s Fate: He is prophesied to die in service to the Noavek family. This looming death sentence haunts his relationship with Cyra.
