Percy Jackson’s freshman orientation is interrupted by demon cheerleaders, signaling that monsters are getting bolder. He returns to Camp Half-Blood where a game of capture the flag reveals a hidden entrance to the legendary, sentient Labyrinth of Daedalus. The camp learns that Luke Castellan and the Titan army plan to use the Labyrinth’s twisting passages to bypass the camp’s magical borders and launch a full-scale invasion. Annabeth Chase is given the quest to navigate the Labyrinth, find its creator, Daedalus, and convince him to help the Olympians before Luke obtains Ariadne’s string and dooms the camp.
