The story follows Winnifred “Win” McNulty, a fiercely independent 28-year-old living in Ontario, Canada. Born with a limb difference (an underdeveloped right hand), Win has spent her life proving she doesn’t need help. At a Halloween party, she has a witty, pun-filled meet-cute with Bo. What was meant to be a one-night stand results in an unexpected pregnancy. Despite being strangers, Bo is eager to be involved, leading the two to form a unique arrangement to navigate parenthood as “friends only”. As they move in together to prepare for the baby, their platonic pact is tested by an undeniable, slow-burning attraction.
