The story follows Georgia Warr, a 18-year-old “romance-obsessed” girl who has never been in love or even had a crush. As she starts her first year at Durham University, Georgia is determined to finally have a “classic” university romance to prove she is “normal.” Through a series of awkward encounters and with the help of new friends, Georgia begins to realize that her lack of romantic and sexual attraction isn’t a problem to be fixed, but an identity: aro-ace (aromantic asexual).  Georgia’s journey involves navigating the “coming out” process to her best friends, Pip and Jason, and learning that platonic love is just as valuable as romantic love.
