Love Hypothesis

The story revolves around Olive Smith, a third-year PhD candidate in biology at Stanford University. Driven by her best friend’s advice to start dating, and not wanting to complicate her friend’s relationship with Olive’s ex-boyfriend, Olive impulsively kisses the first man she sees in the hallway: Dr. Adam Carlsen. To her shock, he agrees to a fake dating arrangement to help both of them out of a bind. Their fake relationship leads to close proximity, witty banter, and Adam’s unexpected displays of kindness (“acts of service” love language). Olive learns that there is more to Adam than his grumpy exterior, and their arrangement blossoms into a genuine, slow-burn romance
