Hopeless

The story centers on Beau Eaton, a 35-year-old former Special Forces soldier who has returned to his family’s ranch in the small town of Chestnut Springs, Canada, after a traumatic event in service. He is the quietest of the Eaton brothers, battling PTSD, anxiety, and the feeling that he is irreparably “hopeless” and broken.

Bailey Jansen, a 22-year-old local bartender, has always been the “wrong side of the tracks” girl, an outcast in town with a past marked by family struggles. She and Beau have a history of brief encounters and casual hookups, but when his family’s matchmaking attempts go too far, they impulsively announce a fake engagement to get everyone off their backs.
