Confess

The story follows Auburn Reed, a young woman struggling to get her life back on track and reclaim custody of her son, A.J., after the death of her fiancé, Trey. Desperate for money, she stumbles upon an art studio offering a job.  She meets Owen Mason, the enigmatic artist who owns the studio. Owen uses anonymous confessions submitted by strangers as the basis for his stunning, emotional paintings. Auburn is drawn to both Owen and his art.  Their relationship develops quickly, but both are holding onto deep secrets and are being manipulated by others in their lives. The novel explores how their pasts collide with their future aspirations, forcing them to choose between revealing painful truths and potentially losing their connection.
