Britt-Marie Was Here

After discovering her husband of 40 years has been unfaithful, Britt-Marie—a woman who lives by strict lists and believes everything must be cleaned with bicarbonate of soda—walks out on her marriage. Desperate for a job, she is sent to Borg, a destitute town devastated by the financial crisis, to manage a soon-to-be-demolished recreation center. 

In Borg, Britt-Marie finds herself surrounded by “misfits,” including a group of soccer-obsessed children and a charming local policeman named Sven. Despite knowing nothing about soccer and hating mess, she is roped into coaching the local youth team. Through these unlikely connections, Britt-Marie begins to realize that life doesn’t always have to be tidy to be meaningful.
